Rock On 80's Rock Gods

For those of us who have been playing their copies of Guitar Hero 2 to death, savouring every note struck as we play on to the day when we receive the coveted prize of Guitar Hero 3, we were all preparing for a long wait and praying that the formula that we know is damn near perfect doesn't get messed with too much. But it seems that the folks over at Harmonix decided that we were spending too much time on our knees, and not enough time getting excited about their next installment.

So with the power of just a simple name, they proclaimed the creation of what they are calling Guitar Hero: 1980's Edition. An expansion of sorts I would assume, being that it is not given the almighty title of Guitar Hero 3. But really, with the GH2 engine in tact, who can really complain about a game that is going to work well, but with new songs, characters and guitars? Not me, that's for sure. I'm the guy who knows that the exact moment they begin to actually release extra songs for download on the 360 GH2, I will be buying that shit and locking myself away for a week.

And now, we wait for a song list to salivate over.
